Harold Wood Running Club bag handful of new record times

Harold Wood Running Club members took part in the third East London 5 Inter Series race of the year this week.

21 members enjoyed taking part in the run, hosted by East End Runners at the Olympic Park, where a whole host of successful runners have raced.

Ian Grant, Rosie Hatch, Louise and Martin Hawker, Helen and Josh Jenner and Parisa Skeldon all got new personal best times in the 5km run.

Abhishek Anand and Shweta Tiwari, two of our current members of Introduction to Running, completed their first 5k run as well.

Elsewhere, Ian Grant and Chris King, took park in parkrun this week with Grant securing his second personal best in three days with a time of 19.52.

14 members also took part in the Horndon on the Hill 10k run on Sunday with the stand-out performance coming from Linda Day who finished first lady in her age category.
