Harold Wood Running Club turned the Raphael parkrun green over the weekend with many of the club’s members taking part.

Adam Bartlett continued his fine form by coming fourth at the event in a time of 18 minutes and 22 seconds.

Among the others taking part in the Raphael event were Katie Glozier (27.36), Louise Hawker (27.54), Paula Cherry (37.22) and Coral Woodward (39.33), who all set new personal bests.

The Raphael parkrun also saw many of the club’s ‘Introduction to Running’ group take part, having spent the past nine weeks training for a 5k.

Elsewhere, there was a new best for Rosie Hatch at the Preston parkrun as she finished in a time of 24.25.

Good Friday saw 20 club members head for Rainham Marshes Nature Reserve to take part in the RSPB Step Series - Cuckoo Challenge, collectively racking up an impressive 338,067 steps after covering distances between six and 17 miles.
