Athletics: Harold Wood RC hand out awards

Harold Wood Running Club handed out awards at their annual Christmas party at the weekend.
Adam Bartlett took the Need for Speed after his parkrun record of 18 minutes 50 seconds, while Gill Brogan took the Never Give Up prize.
Hayley Smith won the Most Consistent award, as Leanne Mitchell was named Club Member of the Year and Maggie Kelly took the Dream Believe Achieve award after joining this year.
Linda Day was Stepper of the Year, while Brynley Giddings took Parkrunner of the Year after completing his 200th parkrun.
Chris King was Male Runner of the Year, having improved greatly and won a place at the 2018 London Marathon, while Kerry Spink won the women’s prize after a female parkrun best of 21.23.
Unable to attend on the night, but still receiving awards were Stuart Herring (Most Improved Runner) and Claire Barratt (Best Beginner) after a record 28.49 on her parkrun debut.
