Havering AC's Youth Development League team completed an unbeaten season in style by securing their fourth successive victory at Sutcliffe Park, Eltham, clinching the Southern Division 1A title and keeping alive hopes of promotion to the Southern Premier Division.

Despite a number of athletes being absent on holiday, Havering again demonstrated impressive strength in depth across the age groups.

The under-16 boys were particularly dominant, recording 13 victories and eight second places.

Josh Buxton led the way with a hat-trick of wins in the 100m, sprint hurdles and long jump, while Rehan Syed claimed victory in both B-string hurdles events.

Nathan Hathaway enjoyed an excellent day, setting personal bests in the 300m, 300m hurdles and high jump, while Jack Rossington and Oliver Rushworth completed an 800m clean sweep and Freddie Scorey-Hall and Callum Millard Jennings did likewise in the 1500m.

Additional victories came from Oba Samuel and Zephaniah Smith in the field events.

The under-16 girls also impressed.

Millie Cook maintained her outstanding form with victories in both the 300m and 800m, while Ava Sweeney completed a double in the B-string 300m and javelin.

Ayla Baker returned to winning ways in the javelin and Abigail Adegite collected three runner-up finishes.

The quartet of Abigail, Esther Olajide, Ava and Millie rounded off the day with victory in the 4x300m relay.

The under-14 boys recorded seven wins, with Gideon Lee excelling through victories in the long jump and javelin, both achieved with personal bests.

Teddy Madlin added two wins, while Austin Broadhurst and Max Forman completed an 800m double.

The relay team of Austin, Kamron Awoyemi-Hall, George Olubukola-Sogbetun and Lee also claimed first place.

There were 10 victories for the under-14 girls.

Olivia Rae Vaughan won both the 100m and 200m with personal-best performances, while Isobel Milton, Isla Herrera and Destiny Carbon all secured double successes.

Emily Johnson and Moly Jenkinson-Smith also contributed valuable victories.

Havering's smaller under-18 and under-20 squad finished third in their final fixture of the season at Finsbury Park, securing third overall despite being depleted by holiday absences.

Among the standout performers were Oma Nwapa, who secured three wins for the under-18 women, and Aidan Doherty, who claimed victory in the 400m for the under-18 men.

Emanuel Iwuchukwu impressed with wins in the triple jump and under-20 high jump, while Findlay McLaren, Shea Sweeney and James Gillett all delivered victories for the under-20 men.

Away from league competition, Kieran O'Hara represented England at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Competing in the T20 1500m, O'Hara produced a determined performance to finish seventh on his Commonwealth Games debut after overcoming an injury-disrupted build-up.
