Killerwhales Swim Club delivered a phenomenal performance at the Swim England London Region Summer Championships 2026, finishing 10th overall against around 50 competing clubs in one of the toughest regional competitions on the calendar.
With tough qualifying times required just to enter the championships, every swimmer representing Killerwhales had already achieved a major milestone.
The event also served as the final opportunity for swimmers to secure qualification for the Summer National Championships taking place this July at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield.
Across the weekend, the club produced outstanding performances, medal-winning swims and countless personal bests, showcasing the depth of talent and determination within the squad.
Leading the charge was Kai B, who stormed to gold in the 100m breaststroke.
Emily S and Shane G both earned bronze medals in the 200m backstroke event, while Lily-Lisa W claimed a superb silver medal in the 100m butterfly.
Joshua K enjoyed a sensational championship, securing a hat-trick of gold medals, while Sean M added to the club’s medal tally with an excellent haul of one gold and three bronze medals.
A special mention must go to Alanna H, whose incredible performances saw her win an astonishing eight gold medals across her races.
Killerwhales Swim Club can now look ahead with excitement to the Summer Nationals in Sheffield, where several swimmers will hope to continue their excellent form.
