Everyone Active Raiders head coach Sean Easton wants his side to start taking more points from teams above them in the National League standings.

Raiders face a double-header with second-placed Peterborough Phantoms this weekend, having endured their 'worst' 48 hours of the season against leaders Leeds and Swindon.

Easton's men slumped to an 8-0 loss against the Knights in Yorkshire last Saturday, before going down 7-3 at home against the Wildcats the following night.

But they are looking to bounce back as they host Phantoms at the Sapphire Ice & Leisure Centre on Saturday (5.15pm), before travelling up the M11 a day later.

"Last weekend was our worst outing this season," said Easton.

"A number of factors went wrong, easy things that can be addressed this week in training.

"We had a good chat on Tuesday night, as well as a video session on Thursday to go through."

Phantoms have won their last eight matches in all competitions and sit level on points with Leeds, having also beaten Raiders 7-4 back in mid-October.

But Easton believes his side can upset their momentum this weekend, adding: "Peterbough is a tough test. They have been undercover going about their business, but being left out of the limelight by Leeds.

"They are a beatable team and we have spoken about taking points from the teams above us as well as the teams below to get to where we want to be."

Canadian forward Alex Roberts made his debut for Raiders last weekend, following his recent release from Bristol, and Easton is hoping he can rediscover the form that saw him among the division's top 10 scorers last season.

The 28-year-old scored 73 points (39 goals, 34 assists) in 48 games for Basingstoke to finish behind only Matt Bissonnette (76) and Dominik Gabaj (77) in terms of imports, and Easton said: "Alex, one of last season's top scorers, is in after mutually leaving the Pitbulls.

"Erik [Piatak] has a long-term injury and [Adam] Laishram cannot commit - after trying very hard to get him to - alongside his university course, which took a hit on being behind on work while he played for us."
