As Britain continues to bask in the glory of finishing second place in the Rio Olympics medal table we've created of a list of sports clubs in Havering for those that want to emulate this summer's sporting heroics.

This list includes sports in which Team GB won gold and only features one club from each sport.

Athletics:

Havering Athletics Club, which trains in Hornchurch Stadium, in Bridge Avenue, Upminster, has a rich history as many of its former members have competed at a number of Olympics throughout the decade,

Boxing:

Five Star Amateur Boxing Club, which holds training sessions at Brewsters Hall, in Gooshays Drive, Harold Hill. Established in 1954 and is registered charity offering training in the disciplines, skills and fitness levels required in boxing.

Cycling:

Lee Valley Youth Cycling Club, which practices in the Redbridge Cycling Centre, in Forest Road, Ilford, offers circuit, track and road riding as well as skills training for beginners.

Diving:

Havering Cormorants Diving Club, hold sessions at the Hornchurch Sport Centre, in Hornchurch Road, Romford, are open to people of all ages from small children to pensioners and welcome people of all skill levels.

Equestrian:

Eastminster School of Riding, in Hooks Hall Farm, Upper Rainham Road, Romford, established 69 years ago the riding school is available to people of all standards.

Gymnastics:

Havering Gymnastics Centre, practices in the gymnasium at Bower Park Academy, in Havering Road, gives pre-school tots, teenagers and adults of all abilities the opportunity to use the same first class facilities as elite athletes.

Hockey:

Havering Hockey Club, in Hornchurch Road, Hornchurch, holds the Guinness world record for the longest indoor hockey match with a time of 26 hours and 38 minutes.

Tae Kwon Do:

Romford and Dagenham Tae Kwon Do, in Redden Court School, Cotswold Road, Harold Wood. Those wishing to join will be taught by a fourth degree black belt and it is open to all ages.
