As pupils at a school in Havering sat down for morning assembly shock spread across their faces as four X Factor contestants strolled through the school hall.
Four Filipino sisters who formed the group “4th Impact” visited Elm Park Primary School in South End Road, Hornchurch to dazzle children with their singing talents.
Spokeswoman for the school, Neree Sale, said the youngsters could not stop shouting and whooping with joy as they recognised their special guests.
“The children didn’t know about the group’s visit until they came in,” she said.
Sisters Irene, Mylene, Almira and Celina made the visit at the request of a letter sent by a young cousin who attends the school.
“It went really well, the children loved them, they are such nice ladies,” added Neree.
“They sung songs and got the children up to dance, signed autographs and were interviewed for our school newspaper.”
Pupils then gave the group, who are preparing for a concert in the Philippines, a tour of the building.
