Woman taken to hospital after Romford car crash this morning

A woman in her 50s was taken to hospital after a car crash in Romford this morning.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Thurloe Gardens and South Street at around 4.30am, and firefighters told the Recorder that they had to lift the woman out of the car.

Police said that two cars were involved in the crash, and that the woman was taken to hospital - her injuries aren’t life threatening.

No arrests have been made.

Road closures were in place whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.

The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for further information.
