A woman is opening up her Barkingside garden to the public to raise money for a Havering hospice.

Maureen Keating is opening her backyard to the public to raise money from St Francis Hospice, based in Havering-atte-Bower.

The garden which is only 40-square-foot features a seaside garden, secret garden and café from where you can gaze across a stream that cascades down a waterfall and into a pond.

Maureen said: “The garden attracts a lot of attention and people comment on how much I’ve got in a small space. I’m delighted to be able to share it with others and raise money for St Francis Hospice.”

It will be open on Sunday July 31 from 5pm and entry is £2.50. Refreshments will be available. The garden is at at 254 Ashurst Drive, Barkingside.
