A pensioner was taken to hospital after a fatal collision


A distressed woman said to be trying to injure herself was hospitalised after being discovered in Havering Country Park early this morning.

The woman, said to be in her 50s, was treated at the scene after the London Ambulance Service (LAS) was called out at approximately 1am.

She was then taken to Queen’s Hospital, Rom Valley Way.

One ambulance crew was dispatched to the scene and a Metropolitan Police Service helicopter also attended the incident.
