Woman cut free from car after crash in Rainham

Emergency services were called to the junction of New Road and Marsh Way, in Rainham, yesterday afternoon.

New Road was closed for two hours whilst a woman in her 60s was cut out of her car, following the two-car crash at 13:08pm.

A Met spokeswoman said the woman was taken to a East London hospital for treatment but injuries were not life threatening.

Police officers, firefighters and paramedics attended the scene and the road was reopened at 15:15pm.
