The owner of a much-loved parakeet is appealing for its safe return after the crafty bird flew out the window of his home.

There has only been one sighting of Bobby, a 15-year-old blue ring-necked parakeet, since he went missing from Macon Way, Cranham, and that was around Pages Wood in Harold Wood.

Bobby’s owner, Nichola Wood, said her friendly pet would be really hungry by now and she hopes to have him back home soon so he can tuck into his favourite food, crisps.

“I don’t think he will survive out there much longer– he’s never had to fend for himself,” she said.

“I’ve always fed him. I just really want him back and so does his best mate, my cockatoo.”

Bobby, says “hello”, escaped on February 21 and has been missing for nearly three weeks.
