Firefighters dropped in on a women’s meeting in Rainham last night.
Wennington fire station’s “white watch” stopped by to give the Wives Fellowship at St Helen’s Church Hall, St Helen’s Court, fire safety advice.
The Wives Fellowship was founded in 1953 by the vicar’s wife at St Helen’s and St Giles’s as the “Young Wives” - so mothers would have something to do in the evenings.
The Wennington firefighters gave them advice about what to do in the event of a fire, and helped out with their routine fire drill.
