This morning’s storm claimed its first Havering victim at about 8am when a woman received a head injury from a falling fence in Collier Row.
The woman, thought to be in her 70s, was taken to Queen’s Hospital, Romford, following the incident in Highfield Road.
Paramedics also treated her for back pain at the scene. She was believed to be conscious.
