The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning as heavy rain hits the south east.

Heavy and thundery rain is expected to continue until midday.

The Met Office has said there is a risk rain will turn torrential in places with frequent lightning.

High winds are also expected and warnings about the possibility of flash flooding have been issued.
