Brentwood Council is looking for local Olympic Games Makers to help light up the town for Christmas.

Lighting Up Brentwood will take place in the town centre on Saturday, December 1.

The council said it had received interest from people who wanted to volunteer to help during the event and were on the lookout for more helpers.

A spokesman said: “We have been approached by several Games Makers who would love to get together with others from the Olympics and together help steward and generally inject festive fun into the event.

“If you were a Games Maker or would just like to volunteer at the event, please get in touch.”

For more information email lightingup@brentwood.gov.uk or call 01277 312644.
