Students held a cake sale in order to turn over a profit.

As part of the Match business challenge pupils at the Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls, Brentwood Road, Romford, made and sold cakes to students and visitors.

For the challenge students were handed £250 to spend but needed to accumulate more for Saint Francis Hospice.

The sale was attended by mentors from Barclays bank and is part of a challenge in which the winners will be awarded work experience either at the hospice, or sporting event promotions company Matchroom Sport, which organised the competition.
