Pupils from schools across the borough came together to celebrate music at a special festival.

Branfil Primary School in Cedar Avenue hosted this year’s Infant Music Festival on Monday, March 19.

Children from Year 2 at Hacton Primary School in Hornchurch, Upminster Infant School in St Mary’s Lane, Oakfields Montessori School in Upminster and Langtons Infant School in Hornchurch, all joined together to celebrate their love of music.

This year’s theme was On The Move.

Emma Campbell, music leader at Branfil, said: “All of the children sang and performed brilliantly with many children also playing percussion instruments.

“Governors from Branfil, the Mayor of Havering and the head of Havering Music School were among the audience and they all commented on how well behaved the children were and how well they performed.”

After months of rehearsing, the children performed songs including Get a Move On, Square Wheels and I Like to Ride My Bicycle.
