Branfil Primary School’s boys and girls football teams came out top at the Havering League Cup Final at Wykeham Primary School, Rainsford Way, Hornchurch, on Friday, May 5.

Both teams were praised for making the school community at Cedar Avenue, Upminster, proud with their double delight.

“It’s been a fantastic season,” said teacher Laura Bain.

The boys also won the Havering district league cup on Tuesday, May 2, where the girls came runners up, and the district six-a-side cup in October, last year.

Teaching assistant Malcom Edwards said: “I am extremely proud of the boys, to do the treble is a fantastic achievement.”

Ms Bain, added: “All the girls in the squad played a massive part to help win the cup, and come runners up in the league.”
