Fire crews are continuing to dampen down hot spots at a recycling plant fire in Rainham,
This is the fifth day firefighters have battled the blaze at Shanks waste plant, in Creek Way.
At the fire’s peak more than 80 firefighters were at the scene extinguishing in excess of 2,500 tonnes of recycling.
The four pumps that remain at the fire are turning over the debris and ensuring no pockets of heat remain that could reignite the blaze.
