Police are appealing for information after a 20-year-old man was taken to hospital following a stabbing at the weekend.

Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service at 9.47pm on Sunday to South End Road, at the junction with Coronation Drive, Elm Park, to reports of a man suffering from a stab wound.

Three or four men were spotted sitting in a parked white Vauxhall Corse in Coronation Drive.

Two men were then seen getting out of the rear of the car and walking towards South End Road just before the incident.

One man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and later bailed to a date in May.

The 20-year-old man was taken to an East London hospital and was discharged yesterday.

CCTV footage has been obtained and officers are exploring all lines of enquiry.

Detectives from Havering are investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
