Country singer Lisa Wright and former Britain’s Got Talent finalist James Smith will take to the stage during the two-day family show alongside legendary singer Jocelyn Brown and soul group The Real Thing.

Acoustic guitarist and singer James Smith from Upminster gained an army of fans after he came sixth in Britain’s Got Talent two years ago.

Since then, he has signed a record deal with Virgin and is working on developing his music.

James has promised a varied performance and a laugh on the day at the Havering Show.

He said: “I always get nervous before a performance.

“If I don’t, then it means that I have no passion for it. I’m going to be bricking it for the Havering Show, but that’s simply because I’m excited.”

Joining James will be singer Lisa Wright who guarantees her performance will deliver something a little different.

Lisa flew to Nashville last year to record her debut country EP Before I Die, which made it into the

iTunes Country Music Charts a

few months ago.

She also made a special guest appearance at the C2C Festival in 2015 as a songwriter.

She said: “I’m a firm believer in writing with England in mind so if you were thinking of boots, hats and accents, then I might just

surprise you.

“It’s a surreal idea that a song you wrote in your bedroom could be enjoyed by huge crowds of people, and I can’t wait to experience that at the Havering Show.”

The line-up for the annual event also includes Paloma Faith’s band The Faithettes and tribute acts Noasis and A Special Kinda Madness.

The Havering Show will take place at Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch, on August 28 and 29 from 11am-6pm.
