LITTLE stars in the making, twins Tommy and Daniel Young, from Gidea Park, were pleased-as-punch to act alongside comedian Catherine Tate in a festive TV special.

The five-year-olds, from Carlton Road, donned wigs to play terrible tearaways Steven and Daniel - classmates of a young Tate - in her programme Little Crackers, which will air on Sky in the run up to Christmas.

The brothers, who got special permission to take three days out from Gidea Park Primary School, in Lodge Avenue, for filming, said: “It was really exciting. We didn’t want to go back to school.”

Proud mum, Lorraine Young, 32, said: “The boys had a great time auditioning. They didn’t even mind wearing wigs and make-up, the long hours, and distance travelled by train daily. We can’t wait for the screening. They are hoping to be selected for more TV work, especially if they can be their usual boisterous selves again.”

The boys, who have had no formal acting training, have been with Twin Agency for two years, and have featured in TV spy drama, Spooks.
