A helicopter hovers over a field, out of it comes a man, swinging on a rope ladder – it sounds like the opening sequence of a new Die Hard film.
But fear not Harold Hill residents, as it was not a military operation or a police raid. It was the filming of a TV advert for mobile phone company EE.
Concerned residents contacted the Recorder asking what the fuss was all about when the film crews descended on Henderson’s Sports field and Tiverton Grove on Friday morning.
One local, Lindsey Branch, said: “What’s going on over Central Park? Helicopters and sirens all morning.”
EE would not comment further on the filming, or whether Hollywood veteran Kevin Bacon was in town, but confirmed the advert is set to hit screens at the end of February.
