COMMUTERS are set to face hours of delays on their journeys home tonight when tube staff begin a 24 hour strike.
The industrial action between the RMT and the TSSA unions is due to start tonight on Tuesday November 2 from 7pm until Wednesday November 3.
The strike is over plans to cut 800 station staff from underground stations in London and 2,000 jobs are also believed to be under threat.
A Transport For London spokesman said: “We’ll run as many Tube services as we can, but some lines will have a restricted service and some stations will be closed.”
This is the third time that tube staff have gone on strike this year and a another strike is also set for November 28 to November 29.
