TfL has announced a plan detailing what Tube lines will be running during the RMT strike, starting tonight at 9.30pm for 48 hours.
Trains will start from around 7am or as soon as possible afterwards, and will stop around 11pm “where we can”, say TfL, but the last services could depart from central London closer to 9.30pm.
David Cameron today criticised the strike, tweeting: “Next week’s Tube strike is unjustified and unacceptable. It will hit millions of families across the capital and cause chaos for businesses.”
Mick Cash, RMT acting general secretary, responded: “Instead of attacking Tube workers who are fighting to defend jobs and safety, David Cameron should be hauling in his Tory colleague Boris Johnson to explain why he has turned his promise to Londoners not to close ticket offices on its head and is now hell bent on axing every single one of them.
“We will not allow the future of the Tube to be turned into a battleground in the war between Cameron and Johnson for the Tory party leadership.”
The strike will not affect the DLR, London Overground, Tramlink or National Rail services. Extra buses and river boat services will run.
Bakerloo Line
Trains will run between Queen’s Park and Elephant & Castle every six minutes. These trains will not stop at Edgware Road, Embankment, Kilburn Park, Lambeth North, Maida Vale, Piccadilly Circus or Regent’s Park.
Central Line
No service will operate through the central area. Trains will run between Epping/Hainault and Leyonstone every ten minutes in both directions. These trains will not stop at Redbridge, Gants Hill or Wanstead.
Trains will also run between West Ruislip and White City every 10 to 15 minutes in both directions, and may extend to Ealing Broadway. These trains will not stop at Redbridge, Gants Hill or Wanstead.
Circle Line

District Line
Trains will run between Wimbledon and Barking every 12 minutes in both directions. This may extend to Upminster. Trains will also run between Ealing Broadway and Tower Hill every 12 minutes in both directions.
These trains will not stop at Aldgate East, Blackfriars, Gloucester Road, Sloane Square, Stepney Green or Temple.
Hammersmith & City Line
Trains will run between Hammersmith and Aldgate every 10 minutes in both directions. These trains will not stop at Barbican, Euston Square or Great Portland Street.
Jubilee Line
Trains will run between Wembley Park and Stratford every seven minutes in both directions. These trains will not stop at Bermondsey, Canada Water, St. John’s Wood, Southwark, or Swiss Cottage.
Metropolitan Line
Trains will run between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aldgate every 10 minutes in both directions. These trains will not stop at Barbican, Euston Square or Great Portland Street.
Northern Line
There will be trains over the whole line with a train every five minutes via both the Bank and Charing Cross branches in both directions.
These trains will not stop at Angel, Borough, Chalk Farm, Charing Cross, Clapham North, Clapham South, Colliers Wood, Embankment, Goodge Street, Hampstead, Leicester Square, Mill Hill East, Mornington Crescent, Old Street, Oval, South Wimbledon, Tooting Bec or Warren Street.
Piccadilly Line
No service will operate through the central area. There will be trains between Acton Town and Heathrow Terminals 1,2,3 every 20 minutes in both directions. There will also be trains between Arnos Grove and Cockfosters every 12 minutes in both directions.
These trains will not stop at Heathrow Terminal 4, Heathrow Terminal 5, Hounslow West or Southgate.
Victoria Line
Trains will run between Seven Sisters and Victoria every five minutes in both directions. This may extend to Brixton. These trains will not stop at Pimlico, Vauxhall or Warren Street.
Waterloo & City Line
No service.
Heathrow Express
Due to separate strike action, there will only be two trains an hour between Heathrow and Paddington on Tuesday and Wednesday.
