C2c trains between Barking and Upminster were temporarily suspended this morning after a man was found on the line in East Ham.
The line is back up running but currently has delays following the incident just after 8am.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to East Ham station shortly after 8am this morning following a concern for the welfare of a man.
“Police attended and a man has been detained.
“Train services are now able to resume.”
