Travellers have moved on to a Harold Hill park and are reportedly using the children’s play area as a pen for their horses.
Approximately 20 caravans arrived at Central Park, Gooshays Drive, overnight and surrounded the children’s swings and slides.
Angry residents said they are worried about the health and safety implications of a horse being kept in a children’s play area.
“I take my child their after school,” said a resident who did not wish to be named.
“The whole thing is ridiculous and I am concerned about the health and safety - it’s a massive problem.
“I have seen them dump waste from buckets and the horses are pooing everywhere.”
The resident notified the council and Parks Protection Officers are at the scene.
