The ongoing traveller saga continues to anger residents as travellers target more areas to set up camp in.

Last night, families pitched up at the closed park in Oldchurch Road, Romford.

One nearby resident who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I got home about 7pm and couldn’t believe my eyes.

“They were everywhere and more turned up as the evening went on.

“They caused noise all night from generators, dogs, kids and general noise.”

Police were in attendance and spoke to people who had reportedly broken in using tools.

A Havering Council spokeswoman said they were trying to get in contact with the landowners.

Meanwhile, travellers also remain in the old Decathlon site in Angel Way, Romford.

Residents have started complaining of bad smells coming from the area as rubbish begins to pile up in big amounts.
