Commuters were hit this morning by delays and cancellations to District line and Greater Anglia services.
Transport for London tweeted there were “severe delays” on the entire District line, as far out as Upminster, because of a signal failure at Earl’s Court in central London.
Slow trains through Ilford were also held up by 10 minutes, operator Greater Anglia tweeted, due to “freight train congestion at Stratford”.
Twitter user @molemase said: “Waited 45 minutes to get onto a @districtline train, and even then had to take the train back from Dagenham East to Upminster.”
