The cast of ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex visited the Romford War Memorial Social Club – to film an episode.

Stars including Joan Collins, Gemma Collins, Sam Faiers, Billie Faiers, James “Arg” Argent and James “Diags” Bennewith pitched up at the Brookside Theatre, based in the Eastern Road club, on Saturday, along with a film crew.

The episode they shot was due to be broadcast yesterday.

A theatre spokesman said: “We were thrilled when the production company contacted us to ask whether we would be happy to entertain the cast and crew. They were truly a great group of people and showed a great deal of interest in the new theatre and war memorial. It was an incredibly exciting day for us as only a few months ago very few knew of the existence of the WW2 memorial and now we have TV personalities visiting and supporting our cause.”
