A Towie star has become the face of a hospice’s annual charity campaign.

Georgia Kousoulou, 27, who has been on The Only Way is Essex since 2014, and her personal trainer and director of VIP HQ Essex gym and assault course, Danny-Lee Finch, will be fronting Saint Francis Hospice’s Star Walk.

Georgia and Danny will be running the warm-up to get everyone in the party mood, meeting participants and joining in the 10km walk at the events 10th birthday on September 22.

“I was initially very nervous about visiting the hospice and didn’t know what to expect”, she said after visiting patients and staff at the hospice last week.

“But my recent visit changed my whole outlook because there is so much love here.”

Danny-Lee’s mum also worked at the hospice for 22 years in the Inpatient Unit within Pemberton Place and as part of the occupational therapy team.

He said: “The charity is close to my heart.

“My grandad passed away after spending only six hours in the Hospice yet the love and care he was shown in such a short amount of time was incredible.”

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Star Walk’s theme will be trainers and tiaras and the event will be open to men for the first time ever.

The Liberty shopping centre will then be giving out birthday cake in aid of the charity.

Marketing manager at the hospice Leyla Clayden said: “It was great to take Georgia and Danny round the Hospice and show them what we do here.

“They both spent time chatting with patients and really got a feel for how important our services are.

“We are thrilled to have them on board for Star Walk’s 10th birthday party and are so grateful for their support.”

Tickets cost £20 with a fundraising target of £120 and includes a limited edition 10th birthday T-shirt as well as a medal.

Check-in opens at 9pm and walkers will set off for a 10pm start.
