Thousands of tributes have been paid to Chafford Hundred resident Bradley Arthur, whose body was found on Tuesday after he went missing on New Year’s day.

Bradley, of Drake Road, was found less then 200m from a house in Grove Road where he was last seen on January 1.

A huge campaign led by the 24-year-old dad-of-one’s family and friends saw hundreds of local volunteers aid police in the search efforts.

This was also matched by a social media campaign under the hashtag #FindBrad, which was shared many times on Twitter.

Bradley’s brother Mitchell wrote on the website: “You are my world, the guy I look up to and wish I was just like. You’ll forever be in my heart and my mind. EVERYTHING I do is for you.”

Although the body has yet to be formally identified, a ‘Rest in Peace Bradley Arthur’ memorial page has been set up on Facebook, receiving tributes thousands of tributes in recent days.

Writing on the page, Tina Richards said: “You have touched the hearts of thousands of people, both near and far and your story has brought a whole community together. I am truly devastated, taken far too soon and far too young. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends. May you continue to shine brightly over your little baby boy Archie.

Rest in Peace Bradley xx.”

Linda Scott posted: “Thinking of a local family tonight whose world fell apart this week. Lighting a candle for Bradley and my heart goes out to his family.”

Emma Hooper posted: “Taken far too young, life is so cruel and unfair. An amazing friend, boyfriend, son, brother and daddy. I cherish every moment we spent together and will treasure our memories forever. Until we meet again gorgeous. Will love you forever.”

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Baxter said that the death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Supporters of Bradley’s beloved Tottenham Hotspurs have asked Crystal Palace fans to join them in a minute’s applause during the 24th minute of their match this Saturday.

A fund for Bradley’s family has reached more then £5,000 to help his family pay for the funeral, with any remaining money going into a trust for his young son Archie.
