Two Upminster PCSOs stopped a thief wrecking Christmas for one Harold Hill household by catching two suspected burglars and recovering stolen jewellery.
PCSOs Wupundu Simpungwe and Michelle Hilton Officers, from Upminster Safer Neighbourhoods Teams, chased one suspect on their bikes before detaining him.
A second suspect was also identified and his description circulated over the Town Link radio system.
A further arrest was made as a result after a shopkeeper recognised the man.
Two men were charged with burglary and will appear at Redbridge Magistrates Court.
