Sun shines as Havering cadets go on rural expedition

Havering’s volunteer police cadets were put through their paces during an expedition.

The teenagers took part in the Duke of Edinburgh Qualifying Expedition in the North Downs, Kent, last weekend.

Pc Matt Ingram, the cadet co-ordinator said: “The cadets worked really well as a team. The weather was kind to us all which helped to make this a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. I’m now looking forward to progressing the cadets on to their Silver Award next year.”

The cadets were assessed on their navigational, leadership and teamwork skills.
