Essex Weather Centre has warned that a storm is approaching Romford and Brentwood, bringing heavy rain and gusty winds.
The centre has predicted that 1-3 mm of rain will fall on the town with a moderate risk of rain.
It’s expected that showers will continue into this evening with the odd rumble of thunder.
The region endured heavy rainfall and strong winds on Sunday as the remnants of hurricane Bertha passed across Britain.
