Show Valentine’s love for abandoned Romford moggies

It’s Valentine’s Day on Friday - and why not show your love for abandoned Havering cats by giving strays a nice warm home?
Goldie’s Cat Rescue, which covers Romford and Upminster, has scores of neglected moggies looking for their own love story.
The shelter prioritises cats over 12 years old and those with health issues such as diabetes because they can be harder to rehome.
All of the feline friends have been vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, flea and worm treated and health checked by a vet.
Jessica is one of the cats looking for a place to live.
Her owners took her to PDSA in Romford wanting to have her destroyed because she had an upset stomach.
It later transpired this was because she was being fed human junk food.
The four-year-old is affectionate and would make a great companion for someone looking for an older cat with a playful side.
Siblings Mary and Joseph come as a pair. They have been dealt a horrible start to life and everyone who has met the two of them has wanted to adopt them.
It is thought their parents were siblings because the owners were irresponsible and did not get their cats neutered, which explains a range of health problems.
Joseph has a heart murmur but it does not require medication.
Mary, who may have been starved of oxygen from birth, cannot close her eyes properly so sleeps with them open.
The happy pair love to play rough and tumble together, just as kittens should, and Joseph likes to spend time grooming his sister.
The last featured cat is kitten Felix. He is 100 per cent house trained and would make a great companion.
