A second man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a police investigation into a snapchat video that showed a car driving into pedestrians in Romford.
Police were investigating the incident after a snapchat video went viral on Twitter on Monday, August 20.
The video shows people screaming as a silver car drives into a group of people.
No allegations were made at the time but yesterday, Tuesday, August 21, officers received reports of a damaged vehicle on Durham Avenue.
Officers attended and recovered a grey Ford Focus which is believed to have been involved in the incident.
A 24-year-old was arrested this morning (Wednesday, August 22) and another man aged 28 was arrested this afternoon.
Both men remain in custody for questioning on suspicion of attempted murder.
Det Insp Dean Grafton said: “Although we have made progress with our enquiries, we are keen speak to anyone who has information and to hear from any victims who may have been hurt during the ordeal.
“This is believed to have been an isolated incident and we’re working hard to establish what happened in the lead up to the attack.
“I would urge anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.
