THE borough’s youngsters must have been especially good this year because Santa just couldn’t wait to visit, dropping into Havering Country Park on Sunday.
More than 60 youngsters met the jolly visitor, joining in treasure hunts, making festive cards and dreaming up their Christmas wish lists.
Gordon Walkley, chairman of the Friends of Havering Country Park, which helped organise the event, said: “I think the children all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was a very successful day.
“The object was to get the youngsters into the park to appreciate it – which they certainly appeared to do.”
