A school choir with a difference helped Romford welcome a festive visitor.
The Sanders Draper School signing choir was invited to the Mercury shopping centre to celebrate the arrival of Santa’s Grotto on Friday, November 16. The choir, which is made up of sign language students from the school’s hearing impaired unit, entertained shoppers by signing along to “Let It Snow”, “Little Donkey” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.
Ceiri Van Haeften, who works with the unit, said: “The signing choir performed magnificently and it is wonderful for members of the public to be able to witness a different method of communication in action.
“It certainly brings the community together.”
