A walk under the stars in aid of a worthy cause will soon be celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Saint Francis Hospice’s annual 10k Star Walk will once again take place in Romford on Saturday, September 22, and although it is traditionally a ladies only event, the charity has decided to mark this milestone by inviting men to also join in the fun.

Time FM presenter Mark Dover will be hosting the entertainment to get walkers in the party mood and the Havering-atte-Bower charity’s fitness guru Bridget Moss, who is head of education at the hospice, will be leading the warm up.

Among the walkers will be a team of nurses from the specialist crisis and support service and Hospice at Home.

Check-in opens at 9pm with walkers setting off at 10pm, starting and finishing at The Liberty shopping centre.

Tickets cost £20, which includes a limited edition 10th birthday T-shirt and medal with a fundraising target of £120.
