Members of Hornchurch Round Table have donated £2,000 to support Saint Francis Hospice.

The round table raised funds through their annual street Christmas collections, asking members of the public to help local causes.

They will also be back out again soon on their Christmas float raising more money for charity.

Darren Fowler chairman of the roundtable said: “ We were delighted to be able to assist Saint Francis Hospice, for all the lovely service they give our community.”

The hospice provides medical care and emotional support, free of charge, to people with complex needs related to a life-limiting illness.

It cares for people from Havering, Brentwood, Redbridge and Barking and Dagenham when they need it, wherever they are and ideally in the place of their choosing.

The group would also like to invite prospective new members to their ‘Introduction to the round table’ night on Wednesday, November 21 at the Mandarin Place restaurant in High Street, Hornchurch from 7.30pm.

The round table is for men aged between 18-45 if you are interested in joining call Stephen James on 07768585551.
