A Romford van driver was fined £500 and banned after pleading guilty to drink-driving.
Anthony Watt, 31, of Market Link, was disqualified from driving for up to 17 months after he was caught driving on London Road, Romford, while over the limit.
After he was questioned by Judge Gary Lucie, Watt said: “It will affect my job. I have been told that I may lose it.
“I had an argument with my partner and I went to stay at my mum’s that night. I’m going to pay the price for it.”
The judge, at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court, disqualified Watt from driving and offered him the opportunity to reduce the ban by four months if he completed a drink-drive rehabilitation course.
Watt said he would take him up on the offer that he will pay for out of his own pocket.
