Police and ambulance services were in the town centre this afternoon.

A woman was taken to hospital after a car drove over her foot in Romford this afternoon.

Police were called to Main Road at 3pm today (Thursday, October 18) after receiving a call from London Ambulance Service (LAS).

The woman suffered an injury to her foot- according to the Met Police.

London Ambulance Service were also called to the reports of a woman being hit by a car.

An ambulance crew was sent to the scene and two people were treated at the scene.

One person was taken to hospital.
