Ryman League fixtures released
Romford will begin the new Ryman Division One North season with a home derby against Steve Portway’s Redbridge at Ship Lane on August 18.
Paul Martin’s men visit Thamesmead on August 21 before another derby at Ilford on August 27.
Boro host Brentwood on November 10 and Aveley on December 8, while the festive break sees them at home against Tilbury on Boxing Day, with Ilford visiting three days later.
New Year’s Day sees Romford go to their former home at Rush Green to take on the West Ham-owned ground’s new tenants Grays.
They visit Aveley on February 2, Redbridge on March 2 and host Grays on March 30 before ending the season at Brentwood on April 27.
Goals from Mo Diamte, Benson Nzuruba and Gerrard Brooke-Frazer led a team of trialists to a 3-0 pre-season friendly win over Barkingside in midweek.
Boro are due to make the long trip out to the Suffolk coast to take on Ryman Premier Division side Lowestoft tomorrow.
Hornchurch’s friendly at Brentwood has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and they will now hope to play on Wednesday.
