It was a case of three prepared this week, after Romford siblings became the first triplets in scouting history to all take home a coveted award.
Seven-year-olds Nathan, Amelia, and Isabella Murphy, from Collier Row Road, received the Chief Scout Bronze Award, for obtaining their adventure badges.
It was a proud moment for mum Karen, 36.
“It is one of the highest awards they can get as a Beaver,” she said. I’m very proud of them all. They worked really hard with their group.”
Karen, along with her three little Beavers attended a ceremony on Tuesday evening, at Gilwell Park, in Chingford, east London.
There the triplets, along with four others from their 3rd Collier Row Group, were awarded their medal by acting county commissioner Paul Six, and colonel Alan Hall MBA.
“I was very proud to go to the ceremony and see them get the award. It is a good achievement and it encourages them to do more,” said Karen.
The non-identical triplets seem to share the same excitement as their mother.
When asked how they felt about the award the three shouted over each other: “We are really proud, excited, and happy.”
