Music fans still have a chance to bag their tickets for the Romford Salvation Army’s annual charity concert later this month.

On Sunday, September 17 the Romford Salvation Army band will be performing a fundraising concert at the Queen’s Threate in Billet Lane, Hornchurch.

All money raised will go to Mencap, a charity working to support children with learning disabilities across the UK.

Tom Hoyles, of the Romford Salvation Army, told the Recorder: “It should be fun, the band are going to be playing a number of different songs from musical theatre and it’s a good chance for the young musicians from Mencap’s Music Is Magic project to get some experience so it should be a really good show.”

The showcase will be taking place at the Queen’s Theatre from 4pm-6pm.

Tickets are available from either the theatre’s box office on 01708 443 333 or Tom on 07801 251 300.
