Romford’s Jesy Nelson has made it through to the next round of The X Factor after a blistering performance with girl band Rythmix.
The 20-year-old former Abbs Cross School pupil is now in the top-11 finalists after Rythmix wowed judges with their rendition of Nelly Furtado’s I’m Like a Bird.
The four-girl band is now one of just two groups left on the ITV show after Nu Vibe were voted off on Sunday night.
The girls, including Jesy, Perrie Edwards, 18, Leigh-Ann Pinnock, 19 and Jade Thirwall, 18, were praised by judges for their performance on the live Saturday night show. Judge Louis Walsh adding that they were the best girl band The X Factor had ever seen.
The girls were ecstatic after making it through to the next round, tweeting: “Ahhh WOW thank you #rhythmixers for all your votes and support! Your just all AMAZING were soooo grateful! THANK YOUUU! EEEEK! :D. X”
