A Romford funeral shop is holding a lunchtime event to raise cash for a local hospice.

The Co-operative Funeralcare shop on North Street will be offering mulled wine and mince pies, as well as tea and coffee, from 11am until 1.30pm on Friday, December 7.

Visitors can place a tag on the shop’s memorial tree or light a candle in memory of a loved one.

There will also be a raffle, with proceeds going to St Francis Hospice, based in Havering-atte-Bower.
